Becoming the person others will follow: Part II

COMMENT:         Becoming the person others will want to follow. (An Extract from Dr. John C Maxwell’s 21 Indispensable qualities of a Leader). We started looking into becoming the person others will want to follow yesterday, and we were made to understand that the first quality we need to work on as leaders is our character. Quality 2 CHARISMA When you perfect you character another thing you need to develop as a leader is your Charisma. Now people will say that charisma is something mystical or undefinable i.e. people think it is a quality that comes at birth. But that’s not true. Charisma plainly stated is the ability to draw people to you. And like other character traits it can be developed. As leaders we have to make ourselves the kind of person that attract others, and that is to make everybody we meet important to us. What we can do for people that will also make them attracted to us as leasders is to expect the best of them...

COMMENT:         Becoming the person others becoming the person others will want to follow. (An Extract from Dr. John C Maxwell’s 21 Indispensable qualities of a Leader). Everybody in this world who’s got a dream, goal or target is a potential leader. We as human sometimes fail to realize that what is standing between us and our dreams is leadership. According to Dr. John C. Maxwell “Everything rises and falls with leadership. Now, we all have what it takes to become a great leader, the kind that will make things happen. But first we have to look at ourselves deep down to locate these qualities that will make us fulfil our potential and also love out our boldest dreams. The qualities highlighted by Dr. John C. Quality 1 CHARACTER First of all we need to know that understanding leadership and actually leading are two different activit...

Nigerian Educational Sector

NIGERIA AND HER USELESS EDUCATIONAL SECTOR. The Nigerian educational sector has received a lot of criticism over the years, so while scrolling through my facebook page I stumbled upon the below article. I don't really know the origin of the article but  Do yo agree with the writer? If 2y(5x-7y) -6y X +6 = 45 find x. Yesterday i was in the sitting room watching a program called China24 on CCTV NEWS, an electric lamp manufacturer was interviewed together with his workers in his factory. The workers are kids between the ages or 12-18 the most beautiful part of it was that the kids can on their own manufacture same. Now let's come down to Nigeria. Nigerian students are busy searching for "x" while students in the developed countries are manufacturing things for the development of their country. In Nigeria, our engineering students spend nearly all their time solving difficult equations and searching for "x". In Nigeria, students will be asked t...
Opinion: The fire burned and Nnamdi Kanu disappeared by Buchi Obichie Nnamdi Kanu's agitation for an independent Biafra state has seen an upsurge in thee support for secession but he seems to have gone mute since some northern youths gave a 90 day ultimatum to Igbos in the north to vacate. In this opinion by Buchi Obichie, she describes Kanu as the kind of persons who stirs trouble but if yet to be found when disaster sets in. We all have that one friend or family member who always ‘stirs the pot’. You know, that one who whispers things into people’s ears, but is usually nowhere to be found or just flat-out denies stuff when “ish gets real”. For me, that person was my cousin. When we were younger, a certain cousin of mine always had things to say about someone else. She knew what someone else had said about you, or what someone else had done in secret. In any case, if you got mad that someone else was talking about you, and confronted that someone else and then let it slip ...
